E3 ЕUROMEC Seminar European Studies in a Global Perspective 19 – 20 September 2016, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China
The seminar addressed the topic of cultural contacts and European identity formation and incorporated the perspective on European studies in a global perspective. It was hosted by the Center for European Studies, part of Guangdong Institute for International Strategies at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Guangzhou, China, which is among the leading academic institutions in China offering training in European Studies. This is the first Center of European Studies in China offering BA, MA and PhD degrees.

The three public lectures held at the host university were visited by a great number of MA and PhD students and academics from Guangdong University and were followed by lively debates on the presented topics. They provoked increased interest among PhD students at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in linking their studies to EU related topics, provided greater visibility to the EU Studies and Jean Monnet Programme within the institution hosting the event.
